Gourmet Tomyam For Free!

Dear Qwerty and Nadder,

Today is one of the most beautiful day ever.

Today is the second day for me working at Econ Shop in USM. I feel more comfortable now compared to yesterday, which is my first time. I met a lot of interesting people these two days. And that excites me very much!

Yesterday there was an uncle who look mean(lol!) but was actually very kind and funny. And there was also a funny guy who was so nervous about meeting someone who had just graduated. He came back to tell me that he finally got to see the graduates, but at the second time he looked more relaxed.

Today there was a big guy who complained a lot, but he was laughing hard while doing so. Such a weirdo! And there's a whole big family came to rummage our poor little fridge too! They came together (more than ten at a time) and took lots of the drinks. The problem is I'm the one who was at the counter at that time and I have to do a lot of calculations (which I really hate). Lucky to have my ultimate weapon at my side; the scientific calculator! yeah! (what a shame)

Oh ya, I met Kak Fiza today! Finally! I was so happy because she's the one who ofered the part time job to us. She's very kind indeed. It was so comfortable to be with her and have long casual chat. And she's very helpful too. She taught me how to use the retail machine! That really helps a lot cuz I am terribly bad at math. T_T

But then again, though all goes well and smoothly, I made a few mistakes too. I accidentally gave two Celcom Topup Cards to a customer. I was glad that she's such a kind soul and returned it back to us. And I calculated one of the total wrongly too! I'm so sorry for that.. T_T That's when Kak Fiza decided to teach me how to use the machine. I hope I won't get fired though..

Oh! I almost leave out the topic under the title! Tomyam! Today after working there I went to the cafe to buy some lunch (it cost me only RM1!). I was considering to buy some food for dinner too, but thinking that my room-mate will be hungry during dinner time, I decided to buy just lunch. But what a shame! She told me that she'll be cooking with her friend for dinner! That's an awfully terrible news cuz it means I'm going to have dinner down at the cafe by myself. I'd never do that of course, and rather have Maggi mee instead. But then came a better news, she insisted that I have some of the food she'll be cooking. How can I resist lol.. But oh, she was so busy cooking and forgot about the pathetic starving girl back at her room. I was so sleepy after waiting for two hours and was about to fall into a floating journey when she knocked the door. There was a bowl of wafting tomyam and a glass of lychee in her hands! Hooray! But I can't seem to move myself out of the bed and tell her to leave them on my table. Not for long, people, not for long, cuz 10 minutes after that I can't put myself to sleep again. Eventually I got up and gobbled up everything on the table lol. Both the tomyam and the lychee were awesome! It would cost me RM15 if I were eating outside. I can't explain further my dear cherrypies, I'm too sleepy presently.

So goodnight, and dream nicely. :)

Bumble Bee On the Go

Dear Qwerty,

Omg! I need to finish my tutorial works before thursday! I better start now. Plus a client asked us to translate two chapters of a book before next friday! Buzy buzy buzy~~

Oh, while i'm still here, I'd like to do some marketing stuff lol:
I'm a translation student from USM who is currently pursuing the Bachelor of Arts in Translation and Interpreting (BATI). My lecturer encourage us to take translation assignments while we're still in university level in order to gain much experience before we enter the so much dreaded working world. So, if any of you would like me to do some translation for you, please let me know ya~

p/s: I'm still a student, so the payment won't be as high as RM0.10 per word. I usually take RM3-5 per page :) (Professional translators will normally charge RM20 per page)

Hyes and Hellos

Dear Qwerty,

I'm more than two weeks into this sem. But I don't feel the urge to study as I would have in the last sems. Why is that so? Qwerty, please scold me. I need to start studying now!

Will write to you later. Bye for now~

p/s: please pray for me.

Why?

Dear Qwerty,

I'm currently listening to One Republic's All Fall Down from their album Dreaming Out Loud. Isn't it one of the best song ever? Loving the lyrics to the last of my neurons. I think we would all interpret the lyrics differently, but it's okay, that proves that we human beings are unique. That we don't have carbon copies of each other. That we are who we are, forever.

We should learn to appreciate each other too, because there's no replacement for anybody. When it's gone, it's gone, for good.

And most importantly, we must appreciate ourselves too. Cuz there's no replacement for us in this world, ever again. Not in a hundred years, not in thousands, never.

I believe we live for a purpose in this world. And not just any purpose, it's something that only we can do.

It could be from the littlest thing such as picking a can off the road that could harm an old lady coming on the way without we knowing it, to being the first human walking on the moon. But bear in mind that we humans are created to choose, which explain our tremendous ability to choose, even our future. It's human's exclusive ability. I'd like to use it then.

But as always, God will make all the decision.

Don't be disappointed if you didn't get what you've worked for. We could easily love things that is detrimental to us, we often avoid things that are essential for us. That's why God will make the decision for us, so that we don't choose wrongly.

Please do remember, that everything happens for a reason. Be strong. Be patient. And eventually, you will find out the reason why.

P/s: Don't be afraid to cry, it's our strongest defense and most potent rejuvenator for heartbreak.

Morning Starshine!!

Hi Qwerty,

I've noticed that our Fuzzy is gone. Did you see where it went?

Hi and hello again my dearest soulboard. It's been a very long time. I was quite busy, actually, neck-breakingly busy with everything. It's holiday, so yeah! I'd like to tell about what I've been up to during this sweet one and a half month of no class. :)

Good news! Our to-cook list is 95% fulfilled. I've cooked practically everything, except for the pumpkin pie. My family don't seem to have any interest when I mention it, so I guess I'd leave my mum's flour stock alone this time. The soft pretzels and Portuguese tart is a hit though! Thank you AllRecipes... :))

Today me and my brother made some caramel popcorns. I learned it from YouTube and Metacafe and it turned out terrific! We decided not to buy ready made popcorns ever again. Thanks to the uploaders! :D

Other than that, I've also made some sewing projects. I found my mum's stash of colourful, pretty scrap-fabrics. We washed them up (which is pretty silly when our neighbours saw them hanged to dry) and sorted them according to their "degree of prettiness" (wth is that??) lol. I've made one little bag (I can't call it a pouch, it doesn't even look like a pouch) and a button-pouch. The little bag is inspired by a great blog and the button-pouch (which I plan to use as a makeup bag, for all I have is a compact powder, a LipIce and a eau-de-toilette) is everywhere on the net. It's fun! But it takes pounds of effort and time (and that's mainly because I'm a sloth, duhh..). I'm going to make a phone pouch tomorrow. And that's because.......

.......I've got a newphone!!!

Yay I've got a new phone! Yayayayayayayayyayyyyy!!! Wait, why am I so excited? That's because.....my brother bought it for me!!! Yayayayayayayyyyy!! Wait, not really, he just paid half the price. But that's good enough! :) I paid the other half using my sister's money! LOL... am I like a money-monster now? She gave it to me though, I didn't steal or cheat it, okay? :D

So if I do the math (that's so worrying, cuz I've passed math only once in my lifetime), nothing comes out of my pocket. Nokia 5230 comes in though.

And so the story began:
Once upon a time, a girl lost her phone out of clumsiness. She was so stupid to leave the phone in the bag while she went into the library. It was SE W580i in Metro Pink. It was her favourite phone, ever. (Sobs)

Since then she started looking for a new phone so that she can use both Celcom Upax and Maxis. Due to her incurable white-freakiness, the first phone that caught her eyes was a sleek, colourful, white-front; Nokia 5230. Whenever she saw a photo of the phone, she can't help but whispered to herself; omg, that's sickly cool! But it is a touchscreen, so considering the money value plus the repair cost that is almost sure with a touchscreen, she cancelled it and aim for Nokia 6730 instead (she trusts Nokia for durability).

But then, with much love from god, she eventually got it for free. (I feel very lazy to type out the whole story lol).

Perhaps I'll talk more about the phone later, about what I love and hate about it. Meanwhile, if there's any question about it, feel free to ask! :)

Life Swing

Hi everyone,

I'm not feeling playful today.

There are a lot of things happening recently. Well yeah, some life complications. I don't wanna talk about it. Just some little things that makes you feel enormously annoyed, and you just don;t understand why you should. Should we blame ourselves then? When we're feeling that way? Logic says; it's just 'some little things', when compared the whole universe, those things lose their importance. so you're wrong for getting annoyed. But then comes the abstract; those little things grow, you know? So if you keep them up to the neck in a bottle, they'll grow so healthily and burst the bottle; shattered glass always means something bad. So yeah, you have the right to feel annoyed. Well I say; yeah, i'm annoyed, so what am I gonna do now?

I don't know the answer my honeybees, I really don't know.

I've been running away from my own question up there for the rest of my life.

Enough with that, I'd like to talk about something not-so-personal now. I noticed that people can't comment to our place here. So I decided to change the layout. Hope that will help.

And oh, I'm getting better at the guitar yay! Actually, the only key I know for the time being is Am lol. But then, I've found out how to make the guitar sounds better, plus I made my own song too! Haha it's just a simple repeating notes, but I like how it sounds. It has no key at all lol, I took the guitar and play it the way I play piano, but with plucking fingers of course. My left-hand fingers are sore from pressing down the steel strings, I can't use them today (what a noob). They look like three red sausages sticking out of my left hand now lol. But as soon as I can stand holding down the strings again (probably tomorrow), I'll continue with my YouTube guitar lesson hehe.. I think I have started to love guitar now. But of course, piano or keyboard is still on the top of the list! (at least the piano never turned my fingers into hotdogs)

Other than that, I'd like to tell both of you that I love you. I love you both, with all my heart. You're the ones I turn to when I need someone to speak. Because you never complain, you just listen. You don't smile before me but smirks behind me. You're always there when I need you. You make me feel better, always. I have never found anyone like you, and never will.

With lots of love, good night, dear Qwerty and Fuzzy.

Introduction

Dear Qwerty,

I'd like you to meet Fuzzy Nightfury.

You may call him Fuzzy, and do I. Sorry for the late intro, both of you. I hope you'll get along very, very well. Well, they say, sharing is caring. Qwerty, I know you love sharing.. :) And he's a Nightfury; he's blazingly intelligent. You like intelligence too, do you? So from now on, I'll have to start writing with 'Dear Qwerty and Fuzzy' . That would be more fun than ever! :D

Okay, it's been a terribly long time since I last write to you, longer for Qwerty though. Okay (again), I'd like to announce: I'M HOOOMMMMEEE!!!! Actually it's been a few days, but I still feel like screaming about it lol.

You see, I'm perfectly done with all my papers who had been undefendably (that word don't exist kids!) guilty for choking my throat and making me feel like the sky is going to collapse if I didn't write down what the examiner wants. Honestly, it's not that I'm an A-targetting student, it's just that this time, this very one time in my life, I've made the exam as the primary key factor to the success of my long-term life plan (am I exaggerating again??). I need to get a Dean, or the plan is most likely to fail. Please, please, God, I pray with all my heart, do give me another 3.5++.

Okay, enough with the exam. I'd like to talk about my pretty life now. Hehe.. Qwerty would remember my to-do list on the previous post. Hey! I've done muffins (walnuts and chocolate chips) and apple pie so far (though it's supposed to be pumpkin pie. Well, as long as I get the word 'pie' in it lol) I think I want to make pretzels tomorrow. Then, Portuguese tart will come the next day. Yay!

Other than that, I've wandered across YouTube too. And this time it's not for the Korean MVs, it's for the original compositions and covers done by the wonderful people there. I've stumbled upon the famous Mario Kart Love Song by Sam Hart. That was almost flawless! I love his voice, his personality, and even his yarn-mustache lol. He's just creative, he loves singing and his guitar, and I had love both of them. I wish that he could gain something from his talent; happiness, if that what's important to him.

Talking about covers, I've come to know this guy who's singing makes you feel the same way as the breeze blowing through your hair during hot summer (exaggerating....., but, I can't find simple words to describe it! My biggest talent is in redundancy.) He made covers for Cave (Jack's Mannequin), Your Call (Secondhand Serenade), Mario Kart Love Song and some others. My favourite is the Cave and the Mario Kart covers. He played piano too, but he sings better. You really should watch him singing, my honeybees, when you can. :)

I think it's enough now, I'd like to go to bed now. It's 3.50am. All because of YouTube lol. I'll write to you again soon.

Till then loves, good night and sweet dreams. :)

Crumb Trail

Dear Qwerty,

I can't wait to go home!

Why does it take so long for all these misery to go away?? I can't wait anymore. I want to go home. After all, even if I scream about this 29 times a day, a still have to wait for another two weeks. And while I'm here , there are CMM111 and LLC200 waiting to wave me goodbye. Get out of the way!

Day's Eye

Dear Qwerty,

Do you know that daisies sleeps at night and blooms only during the day?

Daisy to me is the prettiest flower in the world. I'd rather have a daisy of my eye than an apple.
I can't recall the time I start to fall in love with those little white polka dots on the grass. They're like little smiling faces (though I never know where the lips are) that makes me feel happy whenever I look at them. I only like one type of daisy; which is the ox-eye daisy. Some people took them as weeds, but I think daisies makes a merry carpet on the lawn. I love the way the sunny center brighten up its satiny white petals, and how the whole bloom contrasts sharply with its dark green stems and leaves.

Why would people want to cut them off? If they don't want daisies they should just tell me to collect them from their lawn and I'll put those fresh flowers in my room. I'll make big bunches of them. If my room can no longer fit, I'll put them around the house. If the house is stuffed to the threshold with daisies, I'll cut off the stems and arrange the flowers in my room to make daisy-mat, daisy-bed, daisy-pillow, daisy-everything! Can you imagine sleeping on a bed of ox-eye daisy? Well I'd like to dream of that tonight, I'll make sure I have plenty of daisies to make daisy-sofas and daisy-curtains too!
How can anyone say a field of ox-eye daisies is not the most charming sight in the world? Why do people prefer roses over daisies?

Roses smells like perfume; I think daisies smell like summer clouds. Roses takes your breath away; daisies enlighten my spirit. Roses speak of burning desire; daisies remind me that being happy is the most important thing in life. After all, beauty is in the eyes of the beholder, and in my eyes, ox-eye daisies are the pearls of the land.

Dearie, I want a big bunch of ox-eye daisies for my birthday. I'll get a tall, clear vase, and put them there. Till then... :)

"It's Sunday". Really?!

Dear Qwerty,

Omg, the time simply flies by!

I've been into a roller-coaster of being well and down with fever again. These few days I kept having fever, then by whatever means managed to get better, and then after feeling so confident that I had completely recovered, the fever came back. Last night it was quite bad, I had to sleep at 8. When I wake up this morning (around 3.30), I suddenly realised that it was Sunday, and I had done virtually nothing for my 3 papers coming this Tuesday. I hope this fever will go away very quickly. Even now, while I'm writing to you, I feel that it is worsening and I can fall back to sleep anytime (whoa! this sounds so serious! lol..).

Anyway my dear, do wish me well. I think the paracetamol helps only momentarily. Oh ya, the fever worsen at night, does that indicates anything? H1N1? ngeee~~

Right Qwerty, I will write to you again soon. You know, I miss you more when I'm sick. :)

Sleepy Head

Dearest Qwerty,

How are you doing? Do you know that I miss you lots?

Dearie, I got lots of things to tell you just now. But now that I'm here, err.........? haha sorry dear, I don't feel like talking much anymore. But I think I should write something, since I went into the trouble of logging in to Blogger.

Yesterday the old friend I mentioned in the last post did call me. I'm glad that we're still friends. I didn't have much to talk about, lucky that he's quite talkative lol. But I hope the next time we talk to each other, it is for something that need to be talked about, like the real purpose for the invention of remote communication (sounds big?). It's not that I don't like to have a casual chat with him, but he insisted to let him do the calling, so I feel quite (in fact, VERY...) uneasy when we talk (realising that I'm draining his credits).

Oh, I got something more important to tell you - I've been sleeping the whole day like a hibernating grizzly! Let us see; I opened my eyes at 10 am, cuz my friend wanted to know when should we go out for lunch. Right after I replied, I dozed off again. 11 am, I wake up for real (though every step away from my bed is a resistance), took a shower, and went out for lunch. I bought NST and Kosmo, read both of them until 3pm, and at 6.30, found out that I had been asleep among the papers. My head is still aching now from having too much sleep in the day.

Other than that, I got another 3 papers next week, and I read practically nothing. What am I going to write in the answer sheet huh? My dream chronicles?? Anyway I plan to be a good girl after this. Since I've been sleeping all day long, I'm quite sure that I won't be able to sleep tonight. Maybe I could use some time to do some revision? (But my head is aching and I do feel quite sleepy now, there are possibilities that I would go to sleep again. I hope I'm not sick, sleeping too much usually indicates that I am going to have a fever.)

Alright dear, I feel as if I had spent 3 hours to write to you today. Perhaps I should stop here. Qwerty, why do you never write to me? You are so like Green!

Till then, bye! :)

Yay!!

Hi Qwerty!

I've done with my major paper!

But I got another one coming up..hehe.. But I'm still feeling glad; a quarter of my sem-end burden has been lifted from me. I'm happy not because I did so well in it; I was just glad that I don't have to think about it anymore.

The questions are not too difficult nor too easy, and I'm partly confident with my answers. But I enjoyed every second of it. I hope (and pray) that I would get good grade for this paper. A- perhaps? :) I can't get A for my coursework is just A-, so A- is good enough. Yeah!!

I'm going to have a rest tonight, besides, an old friend of mine wanna have a chat with me. I wonder what he has to say after such a long time haha. Anyway, I hope it's something that wont ruin my starry mood at the moment (lol).

Oh ya, around 8 I want to try packing some of my stuff to see if it will fit into the box. If it wont, I'll have to get another box (which is very troublesome). I can't wait to go home~~~! XD

Bye dearie, talk to you later! :D

To Regret and To Forget

Hi Qwerty,

I have mixed feelings; but more to the positives.

Actually, yesterday I had a mind to write about my disappointment for my first paper. I was so disappointed for I knew the exact answer, but I had a very poor time management to write it all down. I've wasted my time on questions that I'm not so confident at. And apparently had as well wasted my effort for the second section which I should have scored. Anyway, I got over it today and went to eat Portuguese tart and spaghetti with my friend (lol).

But before that we had a discussion for tomorrow's paper, which is my major. I hope I will do very well in it. I want get As for at least 4 papers this semester. Since I had screwed up my first paper, I want to do well in others. I will memorize things that need to be memorized tonight, and be ready for tomorrow. I hope and pray that God will help me again. I want to be a hardworking person that is independent and responsible.

That's it for now, I'll tell you how I feel about tomorrow's paper after the adrenaline hours. But no promises..hehe..

Wish me luck and see you again! :)

Hot Chocolate and Final Examination

Hi Qwerty,

It's been quite long.

As I had mentioned before, I will be having my final exam for this sem next week. I'm currently doing some revision for its sake. I wish I could get another 3.5, for I really would like to apply for JPA this time. PTPTN is not bad, but I need to pay back, and that's something that not everyone can do and like. Besides that, I want to have it so that I don't have to rely on my family, especially my brother. I think he works hard for the family. Well he never mentioned it but, you know, it's something that you can either see, or feel it. If I have it, they wont have to throw in any cash for my study. Besides, I just want to make them happy. I want them to know that they had not wasted their money and effort on me. I want to score another 3.5++, and I want to make it a reality. I pray that God will help me.

Err..for the hot chocolate thing, I don't feel like talking about it anymore. Let's leave it for another time. :)

Bye Qwerty, and pray for me. :)

Twist and Turn

Dear Qwerty,

It's official; I'm going to make pretzel.

Qwerty, whatever would happen at home, I am definitely going to make pretzels. I've found a very nice and easy recipe for pretzel at AllRecipes.com, and while people there are raving about how the pretzels they made turned out better than Auntie Anne's, I'm not going to stay quiet here and just watch. Those pretzels are going to appear in the house and everyone must finish them, it's compulsory.

Yeah, there are a lot of research to be made. But first comes first, I must review my lessons and prepare for the exam.

See you!

The Vanishing Point

Dear Qwerty,

I had a nice day, although it began quite badly.

In the morning I had some rush-hours to complete our report and for the presentation. But it had a happy ending. I was quite satisfied with everyone's presentation and we did manage to complete the presentation. In fact, after all the hustle-bustle had gone away, we even planned to visit the Butterfly Park after the exam. That was what I could call a sweet ending.

Then I went to the mall with another friend of mine, a very close and beloved friend. We went to watch some movies but the time wasn't right at all. So what we did was having a food tour all over the mall. I had lots of things that I had always wanna try, like the famous pretzel and chicken chop. We didn't try the takoyaki there for my friend here is not very fond of Japanese food. Never mind, I'll treat myself later hehe..

Anyway it was fun. I managed to persuade her to buy a sweater from Orange Sorbet! But she really should thank me cuz that sweater is gorgeous+cool+cute and any other nice thing you could say about a sweater (well she did thank me later before we go back yeah!). Then we ran to McDonald's booth to get some McFlurry, but we arrived there just when they were closing the place. So, yeah, we're going down.

I'm at my room now, and would love to take a nice shower before going to bed. But before that dearie, I wanna tell you that I really like One Republic and The Script. I got addicted to their song and lyrics. Let's have one of my favorite lyrics down here:

Pancake Crave

Hi Qwerty!

I haven't eat anything yet.

Today I deal with some SSPN stuff. I received a letter about deposition, but the card hasn't arrived yet. Isn't that weird? I think it is as weird as Willy Wonka fused with the Mad Hatter and seasoned with a little Flint Lockwood. Where's my card?? I need a copy of it for my sister's sake!

I tried to call but the lines are busy. That's ok, cuz they have a useful-looking forum. I've posted my question there and hoped that they'll reply soon enough. I thin the forum is a good idea as an alternative to the phone call. Whoever suggested to open the forum is a rare genius!

Ok, gonna continue with the day! :)

The Tower of Babble

Dear Qwerty,

Why can't you speak?

Never mind that, I like you the way you are. I think people are more open to to those who don't talk. Like Green in The King's Fool, he never spoke a word, and that has made Perry feel comfortable to talk to him. Just the way I am to you. Anne Frank loves to talk to the papers in her diary, and I love to talk to you (a humanoid keyboard lol). I've imagined you as a person since the first day I wrote to you. Hope you won't mind that.. :)

Qwerty, a light bulb suddenly appear above my head (if u can actually see). I imagine waking up tomorrow to find out that you wrote back to me. Well, that's creepy and exciting at the same time. I seriously need to set some borders to my imagination. It strays uncontrollably sometimes.

OK, I had nothing else to say and would like to take a nice shower.

Bye! :)

P/s: I wanna bake peach pie too during the holiday!

Holiday Project

Hi Qwerty,

It's been quite long.

I've been planning for the holiday, which will come very soon! :)
I want to:
1. Bake lots of Portuguese Tart (have to make puff-pastry first!)
2. Plant cherry tomatoes, plums, and cherries (right now I'm collecting the seeds)
3. Make bento for both my little brother
4. Bake a cake from Flavours magazine (I have bought a jar of nice strawberry jam)
5. Try to bake some scones (I've found a reliable-looking recipe)
6. Spend my day doing housework (like gardening, cooking etc)
7. Make peach jelly
8. Cook lots of things from the old, large cookbook! (I think one of my brothers will help me)

Oh, there's just so many other things I would like to do! But for now, I prefer to sit back with my book (right now am reading Enchanted Glass by Diana Wynne Jonnes, I can hardly put it down) while sipping an enormous mug of hot green tea. Life!
