I apologize for a mistranslation of the phrase 'laskar'. I previously translated the phrase as 'colour', when it should mean 'army' in general sense. The reason for the mistranslation is my own imperfection, where I had been stubbornly thinking that the word 'laskar' would mean 'colour' for the rest of my life, before I actually look into the dictionary. Please correct me whenever I'm wrong, and feel free to give me your suggestion of a better translation. Thank you. :)
p/s: I'm quite worried with the word 'troop' up there. I really hope I could use 'squad' but the dictionary prevents me.

"Oma" could be "Oh, mak!" (Oh, mother!) which is often used when one is afraid or suprised. However, it would be better if you could provide me with the context of the exclamation itself.

The lines bellow are the English subtitles of the film where the word “Oma” occurs. For sure Oma is not an English word but Indonesian.
This word, a kind of exclamation or salute, appears first after the school was flooded by the rain and teacher Harfan by himself cleaned it up, and, looking at a kind of poster pasted on the wooden wall,exclaimed “Oma”. I have watched the scenes you are referring to above, and found something interesting that might be useful to you.
The the bearded man in the poster is R.H. Oma Irama. He is initially known as Oma Irama. Therefore, in my opinion, the word "Oma" is neither an exclamation nor a salutation; it is simply the name of a very popular singer in Indonesia - R. H. Oma Irama.
When the boy raises his hand in salute, he could be imitating the singer himself, who also raised his hand in salute in the poster.
